Number of Acts:
There is room for 5 acts to compete in this Lakeside Battle of the Bands Competition.
Entry Criteria:
Must be able to provide a Demo link to your music and have the entry form completed by the entry deadline.
Must be an unsigned band/artist.
Entry Deadline:
Entries must be submitted and received by Saturday, June 10th. Bands that are selected to participate
will be notified by Monday June 26, 2023.
Prizes:
First Place Winner receives a cash prize of $2,500.
Runner Up Winner receives a cash prize of $1,500.
Crowd Favorite Winner receives a cash prize of $1000.
Performance Details:
Bands selected for the competition will be assigned a 45-minute slot on Saturday, July 15th.
We will require strict adherence to the time allotted.
If a band is late for their performance, they will not be guaranteed performance time.
You will have ten minutes to do a mic check before you start your performance time.
You must check in prior to your performance time.
CSS Audio will be the professional sound company and will also provide backline.
Backline includes:
Yamaha Professional Series 5 piece drum kit including snare and cymbals
(bands are encouraged to bring their own snare too)
Ampeg Svt 6×10 bass cabinet with GK Head
1 Digital Keyboard – Roland RD 700 or similar
Guitar amps:
1 Fender Twin
1 Fender Deluxe
Judging:
Judging will be conducted by a panel of judges familiar with the current music industry, which include professionals in the industry. Overall decisions of the judges will be based on scores in the categories of stage presence, creativity, musical ability, and crowd response. The crowd-favorite winner will be chosen by the fans. They will write the name of their favorite band down and put it in a drawing drum. These votes will be counted at the end of the night and the crowd favorite will be named.
